A drug bust jointly conducted by the Bellefontaine Police Department’s Criminal Patrol Unit and detectives from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office led to multiple felony charges against two defendants Friday.
According to the report, Stephanie L. Burk, 46, of 134 N. Detroit St., is facing charges for illegal manufacturing of drugs, tampering with evidence and possession of cocaine, all of which are felonies, and was also served a warrant that was already out for her arrest for trafficking in cocaine.
Also arrested was De’Andre L. Tucker, 45, at large, who was booked for tampering with evidence and possession, both felonies.
A narcotics arrest warrant and search warrant was served at the 134 N. Detroit St. address approximately 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 30.
Tucker reportedly was found on the steps of the porch to the residence and reportedly was uncooperative with officers, who eventually had to take him to the ground after he attempted to discard what turned out be suspected crack cocaine.
When they received no answer their knock and announcement at the front door, the entrance was forcibly breached and Burk was seen running up the stairs, where she reportedly threw suspected crack into a bedroom.
A search of the residence revealed suspected crack cocaine, packaging material, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, baking soda, items used for manufacturing drugs, and multiple cell phones.
Both Burk and Tucker were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
