Bailey K. White, 22, of West Liberty, was transported by private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of possible injuries following a crash Monday morning, March 20.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating an eastbound 2004 Ford Explorer on County Road 146 near County Road 29 about 8:20 a.m. when he failed to negotiate the curve and traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle overcorrected and went back onto the road and then off the right side again, striking the ditch and overturning.

Damage was moderate to the sport utility vehicle. The driver was wearing his seat belt and citations are pending.

• Johnnie J. Collins, 77, of Richwood, was cited for failure to yield related to a non-injury crash about 3:45 p.m. Monday.

Deputies report he was operating a southbound 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser on State Route 117 and began to initiate an eastbound turn onto State Route 273.

The driver of a northbound 2017 Ford Focus Lee A. Watson, 30, of Lakeview, said he drove into a field at that location to avoid a collision with Collins’ vehicle.

Collins stated he did not see the Watson car. Damage was light to the Ford Focus, and no damage was reported to the PT Cruiser. The drivers were wearing their seat belts.

• Weston C. McKinley, 18, of Kenton, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash Friday, March 17.

Deputies report he was operating a northbound 2012 Ford Mustang about 9 a.m. on U.S. Route 68 and attempted to turn eastbound onto S.R. 273. The car went off the left side of the road and struck a stop sign at the intersection.

Damage was light to the car and the driver was wearing his seat belt. The Ohio Department of Transportation was notified about the damage to the stop sign.
