Swimmers finish season at district meet

Area swimmers took part in the district meet at Miami University on Saturday.

Bellefontaine’s 200 yard medley relay team of Beckham Harman, Cody Hudson, Elias Abrego and Ryan Alexander finished 24th with a time of 1:58.06.

Ryan Alexander was 27th in the 200 yard freestyle (2:09.46).

Elias Abrego was 14th in both the 50 yard freestyle (23.27) and 100 yard freestyle (51.45).

The 400 yard freestyle relay of Jaylen Henry, Will Myers, Alexander and Abrego was 21st with a time of 3:53.74.

For the Bellefontaine girls, the 200 medley relay team of Brooklyne Kuntz, Elaina Ullom, Kate Myers and Kaeleigh Flora was 20th (2:07.78).

Kuntz, Flora, Emma Nieto and Myers were 19th in the 400 free relay (4:14.22).

Kuntz finished 20th in the 200 yard individual medley (2:19.78) and 21st in the 100 butterfly (1:03.39).

Myers was 29th in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 6:15.40.

For Benjamin Logan, the boys 200 free relay team of Liam Sweeney, Jerrick Stephens, Utah Coleman and Landon Braddock was 14th (1:39.59).

The 200 medley relay of Dylan Vance, Coleman, Sweeney and Braddock placed 18th (1:56.17).

In the 400 free relay, Sweeney, Stephens, Coleman and Braddock had a time of 3:52.11 and finished 19th.

Individually, Braddock was 30th in the 100 freestyle (56.14) and Vance finished 29th in the 100 backstroke (1:08.80).

For the Lady Raiders, Annika Chappell, Winnie Bodin, Fiona Sweeney and Lottie Bodin took 19th in the 200 medley relay (2:05.84).

The 200 freestyle relay of Sweeney, Winnie Bodin, Lottie Bodin and Chappell was 18th (1:51.05).

Sweeney was 22nd in the 50 freestyle (26.53) and 20th in the 100 freestyle (58.84).
