Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to two non-injury crashes Monday, April 21.
Nathan Wigand, 40, of West Mansfield, was operating a motorcycle northbound about 9:45 a.m. in the 11000 block of County Road 2 when it traveled off the right side of the road and into a ditch where the bike came to rest on its side, deputies report.
Wigand, who was wearing a helmet, was reportedly not injured.
He was cited for failure to control.
• Timothy Allen, 62, of Russells Point, was cited for improper backing following a two-vehicle crash about 3:20 p.m. on County Road 32.
Allen was driving a commercial truck northbound on C.R. 32 when he stopped after missing a turn. Allen then attempted to back into the driveway he missed and struck a northbound 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage which had stopped behind him.
Neither Allen nor the Mitsubishi’s driver, Jessica Norris, 39, of Huntsville, reported any injuries.
Damage to the Mitsubishi was disabling and it was towed from the scene. The truck sustained minor damage.
