Six area organizations and agencies came together in 2023 to conduct the fifth comprehensive Community Health & Needs Assessment (CHA) and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) for Logan County.

Mary Rutan Health, the Logan County Health District, United Way of Logan County, Community Health and Wellness Partners, the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan & Champaign County, and Logan County Job and Family Services announce that the CHIP was completed in December 2023 and is ready to be presented to Logan County residents.

Five priorities were selected from the CHA to work on for the 2023-2025 CHIP cycle. The priorities include:
• Housing and homelessness;
• Mental health and suicide;
• Senior services;
• Substance use; and
• Emerging needs and social determinants of health.

Five coalitions in Logan County are responsible for implementing the strategies associated with the five priorities.
