The public is invited to the new Cobblestone Hotel at Russells Point for a grand opening celebration Tuesday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a joint ribbon cutting with the Logan County and Indian Lake chambers of commerce at 11:30 a.m.
The three-story, 54-room facility is located at 211 Lincoln Blvd., at the intersection of Route 33, Russells Point.
“Now that our building is ready and the outstanding staff is fully trained it is time to celebrate and welcome the public to tour the hotel,” said Mike Major, spokesman for the hotel investors.
“Our investors saw the need here at Indian Lake for an attractive, clean and well-managed hotel. We have witnessed the excitement throughout the community and region as there now is a comfortable and attractive option for visitors to stay within view of the lake.
The hotel features a swimming pool and a variety of rooms, including long-term stay units with a kitchen, living room and separate bedroom, ADA accessible rooms and single and double bed units.
There is ample parking for cars at the front of the hotel and for boat trailers and trucks in the back parking lot.
“Many families who have a home here don’t have enough room when their entire family comes to visit and this hotel offers them an attractive solution,” Major said.
“Also, many local businesses are welcoming the opportunity to use the conference room and bar for hosting meetings and training sessions. Wedding guests also have been reserving accommodations and using the conference room for receptions.
“We are delighted to see very strong reservations being made for lake events, weddings and holidays. Our hope is that more and more year-round events will develop at the lake now that there is a place to stay.”
