The second of three houses that are being razed in Bellefontaine following the condemnations of the buildings has come down, with the third scheduled for destruction next week. Pictured is what is left of the house that formerly stood at 300 N. Detroit St. A another house that was located at 101 N. Elm St. has already been razed and the property leveled, while a third, located at 305 E. Sandusky, is scheduled to be torn down during the coming week. City Service/Safety Director Wes Dodds reports that Advanced Demolition of Leipsic has been contracted to do the demolition work, at a cost to the city between $15,000 and $20,000 per building. According to the Logan County Auditor’s website, the property at 101 N. Elm St. is owned by Robert W. Grimes, while the properties at 300 N. Detroit St. and 305 E.
