A Russells Point man was sentenced Tuesday, Sept. 2, to a prison term on his felony drug conviction in Logan County Common Pleas Court.
Hunter L. Burris, 34, pled guilty to and was convicted of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the second degree.
Judge Kevin P. Braig sentenced Burris to a mandatory four to six years in prison on the conviction.
On Jan. 26, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 33-year-old Burris with more than 60 grams of methamphetamine in his motor vehicle.
Burris had been released from prison approximately 30 days before he committed the offense after serving a term on a lower-level aggravated possession of drugs conviction.
