Greyson Wagoner, a junior at Benjamin Logan High School, has been named one of 81 distinguished students selected for the 2025 Joyce Ivy Foundation Summer Scholars program.
This prestigious honor recognizes academically talented young women from the Midwest who will participate in rigorous pre-college academic programs at some of the nation’s most esteemed colleges and universities.
Announced on March 31, the 2025 Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars were chosen from a highly competitive applicant pool across eight Midwestern states—Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Nebraska, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. The Scholars represent 59 different high schools and reflect a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
Greyson will be formally recognized at the Foundation’s 20th annual Summer Scholars Send-Off celebration on Saturday, May 17, in Lathrup Village, Michigan. The event will feature keynote remarks by the 2025 Joyce Ivy Foundation Leader of the Year, Tina V. John, Rocket Companies, Inc.executive legal counsel and secretary. Two Women of Impact award recipients — venture capital executive Alexis Alston and NASA engineer Clare Luckey —will also be honored.
The Joyce Ivy Foundation, named in honor of a promising woman from Michigan whose life was cut short by cancer, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping high-achieving young women from the Midwest reach their full potential through education and leadership opportunities. By providing scholarships for summer college programs, hosting free college information events, and connecting students with mentors and financial aid resources, the foundation works to raise college aspirations and address the underrepresentation of Midwestern women at top colleges and in leadership roles.
