Benjamin Logan Elementary School pupils were recently honored at the school’s science fair for their research projects. Honda Technology awards were presented to: Addison Gootee, first place, “How Much Weight Can A Robot Lift?”; Briggs Olsen, second place, “Magnetism – Hot vs. Cold”; Eleynah Funderburgh, third place,”The Effect of Airfoils on Lift”; Slygh Hendriz, fourth place, “Bright Ideas”;and Emelyn Sewerd, fifth place, “The Flight.”
Logan County Electrical Cooperative awards were presented to: Marleigh Hamm – “Testing Voltage”; and Ana Franjesevic and Camber Legatt – “Which Battery Works Longest, Potato or Lemon?”
Winners of the Logan County Soil and Water Conservation District awards included Annabella Walls, first place and $25, “Who Will Win? Bath vs. Shower”; Isaiah Spradlin, second place and $20,”Fossil Discovery”; and Maya Beaverson, third place and $15, “All About Plants.” Annabella and Maya’s respective projects also won Logan County Land Trust Awards and the students each received $25 for that award as well.The Mary Rutan Foundation Awards were presented to Catrinna Rosebrook and Ella Carpenter for “Sticky Fingers vs. School Leaders.”
