• First United Methodist Church’s 23rd annual Thanksgiving love dinner — Noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, at the church, 201 N. Main St., Bellefontaine; for dine-in or delivery; the meal includes turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce and pie; requests for delivery must be received before noon Tuesday, Nov. 25, by calling the church office, (937) 592-9651 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, callers are asked not to leave a voicemail; donations are appreciated.
• AMVETS Post 39’s annual Thanksgiving community dinner — 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, at the AMVETS, 110 W. Harrison St., Lakeview, open to the public, dine-in or carry-out; call in same day between 1 to 4 p.m. for carry-out, (937) 843-5641; donations are welcome.
• Ridgemont Schools’ senior citizen luncheon — Noon Thursday, Dec. 4; make reservations by Nov. 21, by calling Sandy at (937) 354-2441, if no answer, leave the names of guests attending on her voicemail; this event is for community members who are 60 years or older and who currently live in the Ridgemont District; students will be hosting the event and are working to plan it now; Quest Federal Credit Union provides a generous donation to cover the cost of the meals for guests and students helping that day.
