A Zanesfield woman was arrested Wednesday evening, Nov. 5, after deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported domestic disturbance.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were called around 5:50 p.m. after a fight broke out among family members.
According to reports, 20-year-old Tabitha J. Isaacs argued with her mother after tripping over an oxygen cord, and the dispute turned physical. The victim reported neck pain but declined medical treatment.
Isaacs was arrested for domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
• A DeGraff woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly made violent threats toward relatives, according to deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Mary E. Long, 47, was charged with aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Deputies said the incident began when two victims reported that Long had threatened to burn down a house, shoot one of them, and injure another. The victims showed deputies a series of text messages in which Long reportedly wrote that “this bullet’s got your name on it” and made other threatening remarks.
According to the report, deputies had earlier spoken with Long after similar comments were made while the victims were in Darke County. She was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation but was later released. Afterward, deputies said, Long resumed contacting the victims with additional threats.
When deputies went to speak with Long about 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, she reportedly admitted sending the messages and told officers she had overreacted, blaming ongoing disputes with family members.
Long was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the jail.
• A Wapakoneta man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly threatening his sister and father, deputies report.
Brian A. Hill, 42, was taken into custody on a fourth-degree misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
Deputies responded to a report that Hill had threatened his sister and her boyfriend. Upon arrival, Hill denied making any threats or engaging in violence. However, the victim told officers that Hill verbally threatened both her and her father. The victim also reported that Hill has made similar threats several times per week.
During the incident, deputies said Hill threw a can of beer at a car, but no one was struck.
Hill was transported to the jail, where he was lodged.
