Diana Kay Armbruster, 68, of McClure, Ohio, left life on earth to be an angel in Heaven on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
She was born on February 4, 1957, in Troy, Ohio, to the late Herschel and Phyllis Morris. Diana is survived by her husband, Gary L. Armbruster of McClure, Ohio, who was the love of her life.
Diana was known as “Grandma Army” in the south and “Nanny” in the north. Everyone who knew Diana knew she loved shopping at the Goodwill, drinking her coffee, smoking her grape cigars, and spending time with friends and family. Diana lived life to the fullest and loved to joke and play pranks. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and always kept her on her toes.
Diana served on the McClure EMS/Fire team for 25+ years and also served as the president of the Henry County EMS. Diana was a dedicated member of the McClure American Legion and served as the auxiliary president, also running the junior auxiliary program. One of Diana’s favorite things was to babysit and care for many kids.
Diana is survived by three loving children, Ginger (Jonah) Strapp of West Liberty, Ohio, Gregg (Jaime) Armbruster of DeGraff, Ohio, and Clint (Amber) Armbruster of DeGraff, Ohio. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kelby Strapp (Jonathan) Meese, Hallie Strapp, Camden Strapp, Whitney Strapp, Samuel Strapp, Paisley Strapp, Presley Strapp, Paxley Strapp, Zachary Armbruster, Zoie Armbruster, Zane Armbruster, Hunter Armbruster, Logan Fry, Daisy Armbruster, Mason Armbruster, along with one great grandchild, Elisia Soto, and many nieces and nephews. Diana is also survived by her best friend and honorary sister Leslie (Mike) Nagel of McClure, Ohio, and her siblings Craig Morris, Karen Mueller, Margie Hiestand, and Mark Morris. Diana has touched the lives of so many people and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, October 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home in McClure. A luncheon will be held after at the American Legion in McClure. There will be another celebration of life held near DeGraff at a later date.
