James Tucker, 53 of Dayton, was charged with possession of drugs as a result of a traffic stop Wednesday evening, Oct. 22.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol in the area of State Route 366 near Marion Drive about 8 p.m. observed a vehicle pulling into multiple driveways and acting suspicious after noticing the officer in the area.
Officers initiated the stop and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Tucker. While speaking with him, officers learned he had an active warrant.
He consented to a search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located crack cocaine in the vehicle that Tucker admitted belonged to him.
The defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.
