Rachel Parker, 18, of Ridgeway, was charged with endangering children after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to an apartment on east Sandusky Avenue at about 9:11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, on the report of a unsupervised child.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found that a neighbor was watching the child.
It took police about 10 minutes of knocking the door of an adjoining apartment to rouse Parker, the child’s mother. Once awakened, Parker said she had just fallen asleep and denied knowing the child was outside the home. Another child, an infant, was found inside the apartment.
Police have had prior contact with the family, so Hardin County Children’s Services was contacted regarding the situation and on its recommendation, both children were placed in the care of relatives prior to Parker being arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Hospital patient lodged in jail
Raymundo H. Carillo, 40, of Lakeview, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after he acted “wild” in the Emergency Department of Mary Rutan Hospital Saturday, Aug. 30 at about 9:30 p.m.
Once entering the ER, he reportedly refused treatment and was acting in an unstable and erratic manner, alarming the hospital staff.
Carillo continued refuse treatment and act in an unpredictable manner once police arrived, at which time he was booked for disorderly conduct and taken to the Logan County Jail.
Domestic violence arrest reported
Police report the arrest of Jennifer Riley, 53, of Garfield Avenue, on Friday, Aug. 29. at 2:37 p.m. after receiving a report from a victim who reported that Riley attacked her in her home.
Officers went to Riley’s home to question her about the incident, when she reportedly admitted to the altercation. She was then arrested and charged with domestic violence before being taken to the jail.
