Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report that Garrison exited U.S. 33 at the SR 540 interchange and failed to stop at a red light, at which time deputies activated lights and sirens and began a pursuit. Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to assist, after which Garrison reportedly crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Township Road 55 and Township Road 184, damaging a fence. Garrison was ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and reportedly obeyed all commands prior to and after his arrest. A search of the vehicle recovered no illegal items.

When asked by deputies why he fled, Garrison reportedly said he didn’t want to get a speeding ticket while he was on his way to get a “Honey Bun” for his wife.
