WILMINGTON – The National Weather Service in Wilmington has placed Logan County – and the better part of western Ohio – under a Heat Advisory that remains in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24.
The NWS says that heat index values of up to 103 degrees are expected Thursday, with more of the same predicted through Friday.
The National Safety Council reports that more Americans die from heat-released illnesses every year than any other weather-related event.
