Two men were arrested Sunday evening, July 20, after assaulting employees at Froggy’s at the Lake, 11065 County Road 293.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Froggy’s shortly after 7 p.m. on a report of a fight and while en route were notified the suspects were in a black sedan with out-of-state plates.
Deputies stopped a vehicle near the bar on C.R. 293 near State Route 235 that matched the description of the suspect vehicle.
The vehicle’s driver, Caleb Clark of Arcanum, and a passenger, Justin Kreutzer of Woodstock, matched the description of suspects involved in the fight.
Kreutzer denied being at Froggy’s and when asked about a fresh cut on his right knuckles he told deputies he was a mechanic. About a scratch on his upper right arm he said he has two dogs.
The bar’s owner walked to the intersection and told deputies Clark assaulted one of the establishment’s employees resulting in a loose tooth. Kreutzer, the owner said, shoved and grabbed bar employees as they attempted to escort the two out of the bar.
Clark reportedly admitted that he punched one of the bar employees.
Deputies collected security footage of the fight and witness statements.
Clark and Kreutzer were transported to the Logan County Jail where they were lodged. While en route, Kreutzer reportedly threatened to go to the homes of the people involved in the fight and kill them.
Kreutzer was placed in a restraint chair by jail staff.
The bar owner requested that the suspects be trespassed (banned) from the bar.
