Barbara M. Kekoolani, 65 of Montgomery, TX, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Barb was born October 23, 1959 in Honolulu, HI to the late Edgar Kahalaikulani and Yolanda Haunani (Holck) Silva Sr.
On October 22, 1981 in Honolulu, HI she married the love of her life Charles Peleiholani Kekoolani, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Chantel (Ernie) Sharp; siblings, Edgar (Deb) Silva Jr., Bonnie Silva, Michael (Alice) Silva, Elizabeth Silva, Robert Silva, Curtis (Winnie) Silva and Joshua Silva; many loving nieces and nephews; fury companions, Poke, Gracie, Marvin and Lucie.
Barb was a Hawaiian native and loved to travel home to Honolulu to visit with Ohana. She loved all animals and caring for them was a passion. She would buy extra food and supplies even for the wild animals she enjoyed watching. Barb enjoyed crafting and attending craft fairs, making men’s jewelry was a true joy of hers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her adoring nieces and nephews.
Barb was the go-to person in her family, the glue who kept everyone together and the ear that would listen when needed. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her.
There will be a private family celebration of life at a later date.
