Scarlet/gray vs. maize/blue battle it out in annual quilt raffle

The Logan Piecemakers Quilt Guild is heating up the battle between the Scarlet and Gray and the Maize and Blue with their annual Raffle quilts.
Each year, the group makes a quilt or two and sells raffle tickets for a chance to win a quilt.
This year, purchasers have their choice of buying their chance on an OSU quilt or a Michigan quilt.
Stop in and see the raffle quilts in person at the Blue Building at the Logan County Fair and also enjoy the rest of the quilts and needlework on display.
The monies raised go to support service projects and educational programs that promote quilting. The group’s service projects this year included toiletry bags for the Domestic Violence Shelter and changing pads for the New Path Pregnancy Resource Center.
This year the group focused on the log cabin block for their theme and each of the quilts used this block to form the designs.
Quilt raffle tickets will remain on sale through mid-December and can be purchased from any member, at the Sept. 13 Jazz on the Lawn event in Zanesfield at the Dr. Sloan Library or at the History Center Christmas Open House weekends.
