West Liberty area resident and Ohio Ready Mix concrete truck driver, Mark A. Neer, 60, passed away July 9 from injuries he sustained in a July 3 rollover crash on State Route 117, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
This is the fourth fatal crash in Logan County this year.

A concrete truck driver was flown to a Columbus hospital after a rollover crash about 12:15 p.m. Thursday, July 3, on State Route 117 near Township Road 100.
West Liberty-area resident Mark A. Neer, 60, was operating a southbound 2015 Freightliner Ohio Ready Mix truck on S.R. 117, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Neer reportedly lost control of the truck when he did not have time to stop for another southbound vehicle in front of him that had slowed to turn into a business. The concrete truck then went off the right side of the road, avoiding contact with the turning vehicle, and overturned onto its top in a field.
The truck driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained serious injuries and was transported by MedFlight helicopter Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Information about his condition was not immediately available.
Damage to the truck was disabling and it was towed from the scene.
Deputies were assisted by Huntsville Fire Department and EMS and Indian Lake EMS and Tops Towing.
S.R. 117 at S.R. 366 was closed to traffic for a time.
