Logan Reece Boling, 24, 143 N. Stanley St. was arrested and charged with domestic violence following an incident at his home at about 6:30 a.m., Monday, June 30.
According to the Bellefontaine Police Department report, a complaint was filed after Boling reportedly assaulted his roommate prior to her leaving the residence to go to work. The roommate notified police of the incident after she left the premises. When speaking to the victim, officers noted signs of recent injuries on her person.
Police located Boling at his home at about 7:40 a.m. After questioning, as police prepared to take him into custody, Boling reportedly passed out as he was putting on his shoes. Bellefontaine EMS was called to the scene and transported Boling to Mary Rutan Hospital for an assessment.
Boling was discharged from the hospital several hours later when officers transported him to the Logan County Jail on the domestic violence charge.
Additional police activity from July 1 reports:
• Carlos Novoa-Bricena, 31, of Nashville, TN, was arrested following a traffic stop in the city at about 2:40 a.m. Monday, June 30.
Officers observed Novoa-Bricena driving erratically in the downtown area before stopping him in the 400 block of west Chillicothe Ave. Officers noted signs of impairment and Novoa-Bricena failed field sobriety tests at the scene.
Novoa-Bricena was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol/and or drugs and no operator’s license, as well as marked lanes and stop sign violations, and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Police report that they arrested Matthew Bugg, 32, at large, on Monday on a failure to appear warrant.
• Officers also traveled to the Montgomery County Jail Monday to take into custody Stephany McCleese, 47, of Lima, on a failure to appear warrant issued in Logan County.
