Deputies responded about 5:20 p.m. to a report of an altercation between three people at Buckeye At The Lake restaurant, 11977 N. State Route 235, Lakeview.

Upon arrival, deputies found the fight was no longer active but heard Hendricks cussing at one of the victims and at restaurant staff.

Employees attempted to break up the fight and stepped between Hendricks and a female at one point during the altercation to prevent her from getting hurt.

Hendricks was transported to the Logan County Jail.

En route to the jail, the suspect stated to deputies the entire situation was “stupid,” adding, “I knocked somebody out” and “I did hit him.”

The injury victim complaining of neck pain later went to Mary Rutan Hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured cervical spine vertebrate.

He was then transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where neurologists confirmed he had as stable C4 vertebrate fracture before releasing him.
