WAYNESFIELD — A Waynesfield man seriously injured in a Tuesday night, June 10 motorcycle crash has passed away as a result of his injuries.

Alec Wells, 30, was taken off life support June 14 to allow for organ donation, according to a Waynesfield Police Department Facebook post.

Police report Wells was operating a northbound motorcycle on Waynesfield Road, south of the village when his motorcycle collided with a deer. Upon impact, Wells was thrown from the bike.

Officers report Wells was wearing a helmet and other protective gear at the time of the crash.

Wells had lived in the village about eight years and leaves behind his wife, Tasia, and two young children.

The Wells family is described as “model residents, neighbors and friends,” the WPD post reads.

“They are a fantastic family that now must navigate a difficult path forward without Alec.”

Wells was an associate of Honda Transmission Mfg. in Russells Point and had accumulated 10 years of service with the company.

A GoFundMe page has been started to help the Wells family with various expenses related to Alec’s passing and has raised approximately $5,900 as of Monday afternoon, June 16.
