A Bellefontaine man was arrested Saturday night, May 31 after he reportedly punctured pick-up truck tires with a knife during a domestic dispute with a female victim.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of vandalism about 10:13 p.m. at a residence in the 1400 block of County Road 1 (Ludlow).
The victim told deputies the suspect, Kareem Willams, 36, had come to the residence to get a birth certificate and that the two exchanged words. Williams then went outside and punctured the two rear tires of the victim’s 2003 Dodge Ram and damaged the passenger-side window area.
Williams was later located at an apartment in the 300 block of East Sandusky Avenue and was taken into custody for criminal damaging.
The suspect denied being at the victim’s residence and told law enforcement the victim was manipulating the situation to get him to react.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
