A Garrettsville, Ohio, man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a fellow patron Friday night, May 30 in the parking lot at Cranberry Resort, 9967 State Route 368, Huntsville.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene about 10:45 p.m.
The male assault victim appeared to be heavily intoxicated, had swelling on his right eye and blood coming from his nose, according to reports.
He told deputies he and his neighbor’s dad, Michael J. Brown, 48, had come to the establishment for drinks and that an argument between the two started when the victim, who had driven, told Brown he had 10 minutes to leave or he would need to find another ride.
When the victim got into his vehicle to leave, Brown opened the passenger-side door and assaulted him. The victim then went back inside the bar-eatery to call law enforcement and Brown left the scene.
Deputies and Ohio Department of Natural Resources personnel were not immediately able to locate the suspect, but he was later found at a Lakeview residence and arrested for assault.
Brown was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
