A West Mansfield woman was cited driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs Friday night, May 9, after she reportedly attempted to avoid a deer and crashed her vehicle.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a rollover crash about 11:30 p.m. near 3681 Township Road 136.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 2021 Honda Pilot on its top facing eastbound in the westbound lane of T.R. 136.
The Honda’s driver, Judith Dunn, 38, was reportedly refusing medical treatment at the scene.
Dunn told deputies she was eastbound on T.R. 136 when she swerved to avoid a deer and overcorrected. The vehicle then overturned onto its top.
Deputies detected an oder of alcohol from Dunn. The also observed that her eyes were glassy and that she was unsteady on her feet.
The driver refused the walk-and-turn portion of the field sobriety testing and was arrested for OVI.
Dunn was also cited for failure to control.
Damage to the vehicle was disabling and it was towed from the scene.
Distracted driver crashes vehicle
A Belle Center area man escaped injury but not a citation for texting while driving Saturday night, Saturday, May 10, after a single-vehicle crash on County Road 32 near Township Road 190.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Joseph Codora, 29, was driving a southbound 2018 Ford Escape on C.R. 32 about 10 p.m. when the vehicle went off the road at a curve and struck a utility pole.
Cordora was wearing a seat belt.
Damage to the vehicle was disabling and it was towed from the scene.

An East Liberty area woman sustained possible injuries in a one-vehicle crash Monday, May 5, in the 2800 block of Township Road 55.
Karolyn Rivera, 29, was driving a 2018 Toyota CH-R westbound on T.R. 55 about 6 a.m. when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a tree, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Rivera, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
