Customers flock to Taco Villa’s, 501 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, during lunchtime hours on a somber-looking Thursday, May 1. News of the restaurant founder and owner Rafeal Sosa’s death Wednesday, April 30, had earlier been shared on social media. Per a Facebook post, the eatery plans to remain open for the next few days in order to sell its food inventory and to help pay for travel expenses related to Mr. Sosa’s passing. Working at the restaurant was “what he loved and enjoyed most, serving the wonderful people of Bellefontaine,” staff said in the post. The restaurant opened about six years ago and long-term plans for the business were still being determined. A GoFundMe account also has been established for Mr. Sosa’s final journey home to his family in California and to his final resting place in Mexico, with a link available on the business’ Facebook page, “Taco Villas Bellefontaine.” (EXAMINER PHOTO | T.J.
