A suspect recently released from prison was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 14, after he was found sitting in an unlocked vehicle at an auto repair shop on north Troy Road.
Adam Warner, 37, was charged with vehicular trespass after officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to the business around 3 p.m. after the shop’s owner reported a shirtless man had wandered onto the property and entered a white Acura. Upon arrival, officers located Warner sitting in the back seat of the vehicle with the door open and his feet on the ground. Warner was wearing clothing reportedly left in the car before his arrival.
When questioned, Warner claimed he was texting and admitted the vehicle was not his. He stated he was on his way to a local office and had thrown his clothes into the car. Further investigation revealed Warner had been seen earlier that day at another property on Oakland Square, where the homeowner requested he be trespassed after lingering outside for hours.
The auto shop owner confirmed Warner did not have permission to enter the vehicle. Warner was arrested for vehicle trespass and lodged in the Logan County Jail. He has been formally trespassed from both the north Troy Road business and the Oakland Square residence.
