Taylor Littler, 25, of Kenton, was arrested and charged with drunk driving following a 2:49 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, traffic stop executed by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Officers on patrol in the are of Carter Avenue and south Main Street observed a vehicle operated by the suspect cross into another lane of travel. As officers followed the suspect towards the south end of the city limits, an additional marked lanes violation was reportedly observed.
The suspect did not stop for several seconds after officers initiated the stop, eventually pulling over in the 2700 block south U.S. Route 68.
Upon making contact with the suspect officers noted an odor of alcoholic beverage, as well as additional signs of physical impairment. Littler denied having consumed any alcohol and she refused field sobriety tests and breath test.
She was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, marked lanes violations and was released to a sober driver.
• Rachel Waibel, 36, of Russells Point, was charged with OVI and a multiple traffic citations following a 2:18 a.m. traffic stop on Sunday, Feb. 5, in the 2300 block of U.S. Route 68.
Officers on patrol in the area of 400 block of south Main Street registered the suspect’s speed at 37 mph through a 25 mph section of Main Street and began following the suspect’s vehicle.
During the traffic stop, signs of physical impairment were observed by officers. A series of field sobriety tests were attempted, but the suspect was unable to successfully complete them.
She registered a .152 blood-alcohol level upon a breath test. She was charged with OVI, speeding and a marked lanes violation and was released to a sober driver.
