Woman issued summons for domestic violence

Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report that Raniyah Kennedy Brown, 24, of 1062 Heritage Court, was issued a summons for domestic violence Monday, June 14, at about 5:48 p.m. following an incident at her home. 

Dispatchers received a call from another resident of the building reporting a loud argument coming from a nearby apartment. 

As police arrived, they observed Brown leaving the premises. She denied that any incident had occurred, but when they spoke to the the victim, who lives at the same address, they observed visible injuries on the victim, including small cuts, consistent with fingernails digging into the skin, and also noted redness and finger marks of the left side of the victim’s face.

After both parties completed written statements, Brown was issued the summons to appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court on the charge of domestic violence and the police report was forwarded to the Bellefontaine Municipal Count Prosecutor’s Office for further consideration.

Driver charged with OVI

Officers issued multiple citations to Santos Bravo Roblero, 43, of East Liberty, for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, open container, weaving, and failure to travel within marked lanes of travel following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of S. Main St. Sunday, July 13, about 8:09 p.m. 

After Roblero failed field sobriety tests he was transported to the Bellefontaine Police Departments where he reportedly registered a 0.249 BAC on a breathalyzer test. 

After he was booked at the police department and issued the citations, Roblero was released to a sober driver.
