Wife arrested after ripping out chunk of husband’s beard

A Beavercreek woman was arrested Tuesday, May 13, after she ripped out part of her husband’s beard during a domestic incident at a Mountain Top Campground, Zanesfield, residence. 

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene about 11:14 p.m. on a report of domestic violence. 

Kellye Gallant, 35, reportedly lunged at her husband serval times during an argument. Gallant also grabbed and tore out part of her husband’s beard during the scuffle and threw a bottle of soap at him, which landed in his eye. 

Gallant told officers she had been arguing with her husband for several days and that the physical altercation began after her husband slapped her sister, who was present during the incident. 

The sister attempted to intervene and separate the couple during the incident.

Gallant’s sister denied bing struck by the husband, who reportedly told deputies he had done so. 

Gallant was arrested for domestic violence and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
