MARYSVILLE — A West Mansfield man was indicted this week on felony charges in connection with a June traffic crash in Union County that claimed the lives of two Columbus residents.

The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Kevin Scott Arrowood Jr., 55, of West Mansfield, on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, both felonies of the third degree, the Marysville Journal-Tribune reports. The charges stem from a crash that occurred at approximately 5:35 a.m. June 6, 2025, on Route 31 near Patrick Brush Run Road.

According to crash reports from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Arrowood was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 southbound on Route 31 when a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound. Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles attempted to pass another unknown vehicle and struck the other vehicle head-on.

Court documents allege Arrowood was operating his vehicle recklessly and caused the crash and the resulting deaths of Edeline Sainvil and Reginal Sanon, both 39, of Columbus.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and came to rest on the east side of the roadway. Arrowood and occupants of the Hyundai were transported with serious injuries to Memorial Hospital, according to the crash report. Sanon was transported to the hospital, where he later died. Sainvil was pronounced deceased and transported to the Montgomery County Morgue.

If convicted on both counts, Arrowood could face up to 10 years in prison.
