Voters living in the city of Bellefontaine will be deciding upon several contested city council races that appear on the ballot for the Nov. 4 General Election, including for president of city council, council at-large members, and the First Ward council member.
Three candidates are vying for the position of president of city council — Danielle Buchanan, Ben Stahler and Miranda Warren.
For city council at-large, four candidates have filed for three available positions. Candidates are incumbents Jenna James and Kyle Springs, both Republicans, along with Republican Wes Easton and Democrat Tim Steinhelfer.
In the First Ward for the Bellefontaine City Council, candidate Devin Palmer previously secured the Republican bid in the Primary Election. In the General Election, she is running against Sarah Lewis, a Democrat.
The election for the Second, Third and Fourth Wards are each uncontested. Incumbent Jordan Reser is running for the Second Ward; and fellow incumbent Nick Davis is running in the Third Ward. Mick Lile appears on the ballot for the Fourth Ward.
The Bellefontaine Examiner reached out to all of the candidates who are running for contested positions on the Bellefontaine City Council.
