The Bellefontaine High School Class of 2023 was celebrated during the recent 3E Signing Event in the Distance Learning Center, where 120 BHS seniors signed a certificate declaring their career path after graduation, whether employed, enlisted or enrolled.
Transportation Research Center President/CEO Brett Roubinek was the keynote speaker. He encouraged students to pursue their passion throughout their career path.
Roubinek, who’s a professional racecar driver, stressed how problem-solving is a skill needed in every job.
“The fastest car doesn’t win the race. The driver who can quickly adjust wins the race,” said the Powell native, who graduated from Denison University with a bachelor of arts in economics.

His journey to TRC was fueled by his passion for racing and driving. TRC is located near East Liberty. It’s Logan County’s fastest-growing business.
Roubinek said TRC is hiring right now. The company has more than 500 employees.
BHS Principal Jason Brown emceed the event and he thanked the seniors for their commitment to excellence throughout the school year.
Brown encouraged each senior to have a plan, be ready to adjust the plan, and remember that how they respond to adversity will determine their success.
Logan County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Ben Vollrath urged the seniors to consider the many employment options in the county, with job postings available at https://mylocalcareer.com/.
Vollrath said the Logan County Gap Year program may be an excellent alternative for soon-to-be grads. The program is detailed at https://www.logancountyohio.com/locogapyear.html
After the signing, students posed for pictures in their respective Employed, Enlisted, or Enrolled group.
During the school year students had many opportunities to explore the different 3E options.
Logan County school districts (Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, Riverside, and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center) teamed up with the Logan County Collaborative for several events, including College Day, Career Day, Enlistment Week and Career Speakers.
