We know everyone enjoys shopping online and will continue to do so. However, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce is challenging every person to commit to buying at least one gift from a Logan County retailer this season.

Logan County has about 35,000 people ages 18 and older. If everyone bought one gift locally and it averaged just $20, that would put $700,000 back into our local businesses.

To encourage this effort, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce created 250 “I supported local” tags that are available at area retailers. When you make a purchase at a local retailer, sign the card and it will be displayed in local windows (mostly at the chamber).

Those who sign their names will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Chamber Choice gift certificate that can be used at any chamber member business.

Local shoppers are urged to snap and share photos of supporting local businesses. Festively decorated “I supported local” frames are available at various businesses and at the chamber office for shoppers to pose together for a picture. We’ll share these on social media and encourage others to do the same.

Get excited and challenge all your friends and neighbors to buy one gift locally this year! It will make a difference.

Will you take the challenge and buy a gift locally?
