Jason Vancleve, 44 of Van Wert, was charged with possession of drugs, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia related to a traffic stop Wednesday evening, Oct. 29.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol about 9:25 p.m. on Township Road 239 and U.S. Route 33 conducted a traffic stop onn Vancleve for an equipment violation.
Upon making contact with Vancleve, signs of drug use were observed. He admitted to having methamphetamine inside of his vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and officers found methamphetamine, a needle used to inject methamphetamine and a pipe used to consume methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.
