Riverside Elementary kicked off their PBIS assembly this week with a visit from “Super U Challenge.” Pictured, from the left are students Avery Wheeler, Corey Belt, Carter Jordan and Zamareyah Arrington participating in a slime challenge, helping pupils learn that we all have the “super power” to choose our words and actions. The Super U challenge also focused on the importance of respect, kindness and trust. Students at Riverside will now be challenged to practice good behavior using the acronym “ARGH”, with A standing for act responsibly; R for respect everyone; G for enGage your mind; and H for have self-control, in their classrooms as well as hallways, the library, playground, lunchroom and bus. Teachers will reward students having good behavior with coins to use at the Pirate Cove shop. This program was made possible through grants from the Logan County Education Foundation and the James Milroy Foundation. (RIVERSIDE SCHOOLS PHOTO)
