A season-high offensive output powered West Liberty-Salem Friday past Miami East 62-28 in a Division V, Region 20 quarterfinal playoff game.

The Tigers (11-1) returned the opening kick- off for a touchdown and never looked back en route to a convincing victory and an appearance next week against Waynesville in a semifinal game at a neutral site to be determined.

Jacob Evans fielded a high, end-over-end kick around his own 20-yard line and weaved between defenders 80 yards along the far sideline for a touch- down that put the Tigers up 7-0 seconds into the game following a successful PAT from Gideon Cole.
