The Calvary Christian Spartans Bowling Team won their first match of the season on a high note Saturday, earning a decisive win over Lima Perry in a non-league bowling match at 20th Century Lanes in Lima.
Calvary Christian posted a total pinfall of 2,290 to Lima Perry’s 1,663, with balanced scoring across the lineup helping secure the Spartans’ first victory of the year.
Freshman Landen Jackson led the Spartans with a strong 451 two-game series. Fellow freshmen Levi Johns and Greyson Barns also turned in solid performances, rolling series of 347 and 306, respectively.
Additional contributions came from Landen Driscol, who recorded a 201 two-game series, while Marley Young added a 99 in one game and Alvaro Frangi chipped in a 121 in one game.
The Spartans will next face West Liberty-Salem on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at T-P Lanes in Bellefontaine.
