Rayne E. Nichole, 17, of Harrod, was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for suspected serious injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon, Sept. 21.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a southbound 2010 Ford Fusion in the 12500 block of State Route 235 in Stokes Township about 3:15 p.m. when she drove off the left side of the road, crossing the oncoming lane of travel. Her vehicle overturned onto its top in a ditch.

Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing her seat belt and was cited for failure to control, deputies said.

• Driver Ethan N. Smedley, 31, of Bellefontaine and a two-year-old child in his vehicle were treated for possible injuries by Macochee EMS at the scene of a crash Friday evening, Sept. 19.

Deputies report Kathleen M. Browning, 44, of Georgetown, Ind., was operating a 2010 Honda Fit on County Road 5 and failed to stop at the stop sign for County Road 1.

She continued into the intersection and struck a northbound 2017 Honda Accord operated by Smedley on C.R. 1.

The impact caused the Accord to travel off the northeast side of the intersection and it overturned onto its top into a ditch.

Neither Browning nor a 12-year-old passenger in her vehicle reported any injuries. Browning was cited for a stop sign violation.

Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene. All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
