Attendees of Rushsylvania’s 22nd annual Cruz Night car show event Saturday, Aug. 23, were treated to dozens of cool cars, tasty food, raffle prizes, music trivia and more.
More than 50 classic cars and trucks of all makes and models lined Sandusky Street and greeted show-goers of all ages, along with the sounds of oldies music played by disc jockey Joe Pine.
Pine played portions of old TV show music, which attendees had to guess correctly to win various gift cards.
Proceeds from the event, sponsored by Rushsylvania’s Beautification group, will go toward the village’s fireworks display next year.
Walking tacos, cookies and drinks were served at the Rushcreek Township Volunteer Fire Department to help raise funds at the event. Local eateries were also open, offering a variety of food options.
The quality of fireworks displays has become a point of community pride in some Logan County communities, and Rushsylvania is no exception.
Meal-serving volunteers at the firehouse shared their opinions that the quality of their village’s fireworks display is on par with or better than other county displays.
