Riverside honors its spring athletes

Riverside’s athletic department recognized its spring sports teams in a recent awards night.

Numerous special awards were presented to individuals of each squad.

For baseball, Warren Shockey and Gavin Orsborne were named the most valuable players, Andrew Knight was the most improved player, Orsborne had the highest batting average, Zander Crouch had the highest fielding percentage, Gavin Robinson received the Pirate Award and four-year varsity awards went to Crouch, Andrew Knight and Simon Godwin.

In softball, Alaina Snow was the most valuable player and received a four-year varsity award, Avery Perk was most improved, Jade Copas had the highest batting average and received a four-year varsity award, Aubree Huston had the highest fielding percentage and Jayden Hoffer and Taylor Dillon received Teammate Awards.

Brianna Bradley was the MVP for running events and Cassie May was the MVP for field events in girls track. Rachel Knight received a four-year varsity award.

Houston Anderson was the MVP for running events and Travis Brooks was the MVP for field events in boys track. Skyler Hudson and Tyler Knight received four-year varsity awards.
