Richard J. Savage, 77, of Lakeview, OH passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at Buckeye Forest of Belle Springs, Bellefontaine, OH. Richard was born on March 13, 1947, in Dayton, OH, a son of the late Harry Savage, and Nora Gilmartin Savage, who survives in Sacramento, CA.
Richard married Jean Mitchell Rodenberger on June 22, 1997, in Rushsylvania, OH and she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (Tim) Wallace of Batavia, OH, a stepson, Trevor (Adrienne) Rodenberger of Houston, TX, two grandchildren, Allycen and Abel Wallace, three siblings, Harry Savage of Saxis, VA, Tom (Sharon) Savage of Sanford, VA, and Kathleen (Edward) Thomas of Sacramento, CA, three nieces, and close friend, Candi Campbell.
Richard was a 1964 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. Richard was known as the “Pizza Guy” and delivered pizzas around Indian Lake for several years. He enjoyed fishing, listening to the Blues and going to concerts. He was an animal-lover, who especially enjoyed watching and feeding birds. Richard was very proud of his pond that he hand-dug on his property.
