Patricia A. Stanford, 94, of Bellefontaine, and formerly of Rushsylvania, Ohio, passed away Monday evening, November 25, 2024, at Logan Acres Care Center, surrounded by her children and their spouses.

Patricia was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on February 19, 1930, to the late Adrian Till and Dorthea May (Fultz) Wilson.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband William H. Harris, second husband Richard Stanford, stepdaughter Judy Suratt, a sister Jeanne Putman and husband John Putman, a brother Richard Wilson and wife Polly Wilson, and nephew Lee Wilson.

Patricia is survived by her children: Steve (Cindy) Harris of Bellefontaine, Dave (Peggy) Harris of Bellefontaine, and Beverly (Don) Brown of Bradenton, Florida; stepson: Michael (Marissa) Stanford of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia and her husband Richard built, owned, and operated the Back 40 Campground for 20 years, located outside Rushsylvania.  She often said she never worked so hard in her life, but was happy and loved every minute of it. She was a member of Rushsylvania United Methodist Church, the Hi-Point See Saw club, and enjoyed round dancing and water volleyball. Patricia loved traveling, making it to 49 states. She cherished her family.

Pastor April Phillips and Mike Roberts will officiate Patricia’s memorial service on Wednesday, December 4, at 1 p.m. at Rushsylvania United Methodist Church. A private family burial will take place in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
