Zachary R. Slygh, 37, of Bellefontaine, was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with suspected serious injuries following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of south Troy Road and west Lake Avenue Monday afternoon, Sept. 22.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report Lily G. Butler, 17, of Huntsville, was driving a southbound 2013 Suzuki SUV on Troy Road , about 3:23 p.m. when she accelerated through the intersection and was struck by an eastbound 2014 Acura driven by Slygh.
The impact forced the Slygh vehicle off the road and into a traffic sign post.
Disabling damage was reported to both vehicles.
Lily did not report any injuries and was cited for failure to yield.
