Lowell Mackily Harner, 102, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 10 p.m. in Belle Springs Nursing and Rehab. 

Lowell was born February 12, 1921 in Urbana, Ohio, the son of the late Harry Elner Harner and Hazel Blanch Harner. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Harner; sister, Zola Mae Harner and son, Larry Mackily Harner. 

Lowell is survived by son, Paul Harry (Linda Ann) Harner; granddaughter, Jessica Marie Farnice and grandson, Lowell Richard Harner.

Lowell was a veteran of World War II. After his service, he went to work at Grimes Manufacturing in Urbana, Ohio, where he was a tool and die maker of aircraft lights. After retirement became owner and operator of the 1 Hour Cleaners with his wife Evelyn Harner in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Lowell and Evelyn were long-time members of the United Methodist Church of Bellefontaine, Ohio. Lowell liked to make small gas-powered engines and tooling for his small car shop, later got into wood carving. 

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. 

Arrangements entrusted to Skillman, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Ohio.
