A light rain and cool breezes welcomed the opening day for the Logan County Farmers Market in 2025 on Saturday, May 3, in the 200 block of south Detroit St.

Produce, plant sets, beef and chicken, handmade soaps, and a variety of other locally-produced options were available on opening day, options which are sure to expand as the growing season in Ohio kicks into gear and shoppers will begin to see everything from asparagus to zinnias for sale at the Logan County Farmers Market during the spring and summer months and into early fall.

The Logan County Farmers Market participates in incentive programs, such as the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, SNAP, Double Up and WIC, giving low-income families and qualified seniors an option to buy high-quality, locally-grown produce, much of which can be purchased with EBT card.

The market runs through September on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until noon in the parking lot on the corner of Detroit Street and Chillicothe Avenue, just across the street from the United States Post Office.
