Kathleen retired from Mary Rutan Hospital as the department head of Medical Records in 1995. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for 47 years. Kathleen was an avid birdwatcher, traveling near and far keeping annual journals of sighted birds. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, working in her flower gardens, reading and cooking for her family and friends.

Kathleen’s greatest passion was quilting. She was truly an artist and she gifted numerous beautiful quilts for her beloved family’s weddings, births and other occasions. She made unique wall quilts for every holiday and lovingly passed on her sewing skills to her granddaughters. She was President of Logan County Peacemakers Quilt Club for many years as well as a member of West Central Ohio Quilt Guild. During her travels she stopped at every quilt store along her path and accumulated a very large fabric collection. Kathleen generously donated her fabric to the Quilt Club for their many service projects.

Kathleen’s family extends their gratitude to all the staff at Logan Acres Care Center who treated her with such dignity and love for the last three years. Kathleen was also blessed to have many friends that visited her faithfully.
