Jeannine Ann Rostorfer, 79, of Bellefontaine, Ohio took her first breath in Heaven on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on June 21, 1944, to the late John W. and Sarah E. (McKercher) Forsyth. She is also preceded in death by an infant child and infant siblings: Jean Marie and Robert Lee.

On November 30, 1963, she married John Rostorfer, and he survives in Bellefontaine.

Along with her husband of 60 years, she also leaves behind their sons: Jeffrey (Lynette) Rostorfer, Reverend Jay (Carey) Rostorfer, and Jason (Laura) Rostorfer; 7 grandchildren; sister, Kay E. Hunt; brother, William E. Forsyth; special sister-in-law, Joyce (Ron) Rostorfer; and many other in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Jeannine touched the hearts and lives of everyone she met. From being a homemaker while the kids were growing up and babysitting from working at Union Banking Company for over 32 years, she just had a way of connecting with others. She enjoyed needle point and sewing, and people may still have gifts she made them for weddings, birthdays, etc. She was a talented cook, always wanting to host family gatherings. She spent countless hours outside working in the yard or garden and she loved to read. Her favorite times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A pancreatic cancer survivor, Jeannine fought a courageous fight. She was a member of the Bellefontaine First Assembly of God and loved her church family dearly. She was a devoted Christian, Mother, Wife, Grandmother and will be missed by so many.

Reverend Justin Cluck will officiate a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 12, at the Bellefontaine First Assembly of God, 2833 US-68, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 11, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 321 N Main Street, Bellefontaine. Burial will follow the service Monday at the Rushsylvania Cemetery.
